Hungarian goulash, or "gulyás" in Hungarian, go back to the 9th century when Hungarian shepherds, called "gulyás," readied the meal in large cauldrons over fire. Initially, it was an easy meat soup, however in time, it grew into the durable, paprika-spiced goulash our team know today.
